Installation Instructions:
1. Prep the Van
-
- Park on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Raise the front of the van with a jack and secure it with jack stands, or use a lift for easier access.
2. Front Mounting – Factory Bolt Points
-
- Lift the skid plate into position under the engine bay.
- Align the front holes of the skid plate with the pre-threaded factory frame holes on the front crossmember.
- Insert factory bolts (or reuse existing bolts if removed).
- Hand-tighten to hold in place.
3. Rear Mounting – Suspension Subframe

- Align the rear holes of the skid plate to the factory holes near the lower control arm/suspension area:
- 4x4 Sprinter (2019–2022): Rear bolt holes sit wider apart.
- AWD Sprinter (2023+): Rear bolt holes are closer together and slightly forward.
- Insert the two included bolts into these rear frame points.
- Hand-tighten initially.
4. Final Torque

- Verify the skid plate is centered and flush against the frame.
- Torque all bolts (front and rear) to 30–35 ft-lbs.
- Recheck after your first off-road trip or 100–200 km.
