Installation

Position the back framing against the van’s internal structure before installing insulation and finished wall panels. The finished panel is installed over the framing, allowing the L-track to be secured through the panel and into the reinforced mounting points.

Plan the location of furniture, beds, cabinets, cargo restraints and other L-track-mounted equipment before permanently attaching the framing.

The vehicle structure, back framing, fasteners, L-track and installation method must all be suitable for the intended application. Decorative wall panels, flooring and thin sheet material should not be treated as structural mounting surfaces without appropriate reinforcement.

Professional installation is recommended for load-bearing or safety-critical applications.

Where is the back framing installed?

The back framing is normally installed against suitable internal vehicle structure before the insulation and finished wall panels are added. The L-track is then attached through the finished panel and into the reinforced framing.

Can it be installed behind a finished wall panel?

The framing is designed to sit behind the finished panel. For the cleanest and safest installation, its position should be planned before completing the wall assembly.

Installing it after the walls are finished may require removing or modifying the existing panels.

Which L-track profiles are compatible?

The framing is intended for compatible Tec Vanlife L-track installations, including selected surface-mounted, square, flanged and recessed profiles. Confirm mounting-hole alignment and installation requirements before permanently attaching either component.
