Instructions for using RSC Road Recovery Traction Boards:
Please read these instructions and before using your RSC Road Recovery Traction Boards.
WARNING! Failure to follow these instructions and recommendations may result in personal injury and/or property damage and will void any warranties, implied or otherwise.
To ensure your safety and prevent damage to your RSC Off Road Recovery Traction Boards, it is crucial that you follow these instructions prior to use.
Safety is of the utmost importance when attempting to recover a stuck vehicle. Do not spin your wheels as this can cause injury or damage to your boards. Also, be mindful of hot components when clearing debris from the underside of the vehicle.
For optimal use, place the RSC Off Road Recovery Traction Boards over soft terrain prior to attempting to traverse, using the clever linking straps and a couple of pairs of boards to make a continuous track. Never use the boards on hard or rocky surfaces, as a bridge or ramp, on vehicles weighing more than 5000kg, or at temperatures below -20C.
When your vehicle fails to proceed, STOP and retrieve your RSC Off Road Recovery Traction Boards. Clear debris and obstructions from around tires and underbody components, and wedge the boards firmly against the tire tread. Make sure the boards are pointing in the intended direction of travel and protrude at an angle. Engage low ratio, first gear, and gently accelerate without spinning your wheels. If necessary, reposition the boards and try again, maintaining momentum until reaching firm ground.
It is important to note that RSC Off Road Recovery Traction Boards are not indestructible and may be damaged through normal use. Factors such as terrain conditions, vehicle weight, fittings, suspension design and height, tire size and type, and approach, departure, and ramp-over angles can all impact board performance. Recovering a stuck vehicle always carries risks, so take necessary precautions to ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you. Finally, remember to retrieve your RSC Off Road Recovery Traction Boards after use.
