Yes. These are genuine Mercedes-Benz factory hinges sourced from Germany. They are the exact same OEM hinges used on all 2019+ Sprinter vans (VS30).

Why do the hinges feel so tight when not installed?
This is completely normal. When the hinge is installed, the rear door acts as a large lever. Off the vehicle, the hinge will feel stiff. This tightness is necessary to maintain proper damping and support the door weight once mounted.

Do the hinges have built-in stopping positions?
Yes — the OEM design includes integrated stop points at 90° and 180°, depending on the model and installation.

Can I powder-coat the hinges?
We do not recommend powder coating. The high-heat process can damage the internal bushings. Painting is fine if done carefully.
